Before you proceed to book your appointment please read the following:
To book an appointment for a blood test for yourself or a dependent you must have received a request form from your doctor or been given a reference number beginning F0. Without a form or reference number, we will be unable to take your samples. This can be paper or electronic.
Please do not book an appointment unless you have this information and please remember to bring this with you when you attend.
Adults and children 5 years of age and older can use this service to book their blood tests.
If you are bringing a child over the age of 5 to the department for a blood test, please ensure that if they require numbing cream (Emla), it is applied to both inner elbows at least an hour before the appointment time. This is often prescribed by doctors but can also be purchased in local pharmacies. We offer a cold spray in the department if numbing cream has not been applied.
If your child is under the age of 5 years, please contact the paediatric services within East Kent who will be able to assist with making an appointment.
